10 Tips to Make Hair Grow Faster

10 Tips to Make Hair Grow Faster

Want longer hair but feel like it's taking forever? Don't worry - these simple tips can help your hair grow faster and healthier!

1. Eat Hair-Friendly Foods

Your hair needs good fuel to grow. Try eating more:

  • Eggs (for protein)

  • Spinach (for iron)

  • Salmon or nuts (for healthy fats).

  • Sweet potatoes (for vitamin A).

2. Drink More Water

Dry hair = breakage. Drinking eight glasses of water daily keeps your hair (and skin!) hydrated.

3. Massage Your Scalp

Rub your scalp for 2-3 minutes daily (whilst shampooing or watching TV). This boosts blood flow to help hair grow. Try adding 2 drops of rosemary oil to your shampoo for extra growth power!

You can also use minoxidil if your doctor recommends it. It's a well-known medicine that helps with hair growth. If you want to keep it off your hands, try Morfone’s dual-headed minoxidil applicator. It's the first of its kind. This new tool raised funds on Kickstarter in January 2025. Since then, it has become quite popular.

4. Say No to Hot Tools

Flat irons and blow dryers fry your hair. Let your hair air dry when possible. If you must use heat, always spray heat protectant first.

5. Get regular trims

Wait - cutting hair helps it grow? Yes! Trimming your hair every two months stops split ends from going up the hair shaft. This helps prevent breakage.

6. Use gentle shampoo

Avoid shampoos with sulfates (they strip natural oils). Look for "sulfate-free" on the label.

7. Try Hair Vitamins

Biotin gummies or fish oil supplements can help, but ask your doctor first!

8. Chill Out

Stress makes hair fall out. Try:

  • 5-minute meditation

  • Yoga

  • Journaling

9. Protect your hair while sleeping.

Swap your cotton pillowcase for silk or satin to prevent breakage. Or put long hair in a loose braid before bed.

10. Be patient!

Hair only grows about ½ inch per month. Stick with these tips and you will see results!

Final tip: Avoid brushing wet hair, as it is prone to breakage. Use a wide-tooth comb instead.

Remember: Healthy habits = healthy hair. Start today and your future self will thank you!
